It was an icy morning so it was a great day to stay in and work on some projects and have some fun. Four wheel drive doesn’t work well on ice and the weather forecasters were asking for everyone to stay in. Some of the ice has melted now and people are back to driving again.

Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today marks day 17 of our 21 day fast that my hubby and I are partaking with our church. We are doing a Daniel Fast, which means we only eating fruits, vegetables, beans and nuts. No meat and no sugar. I must admit it, it’s been tough when you cannot eat the same things you are used to eating. Part of the fast is to develop a stronger relationship with God by studying the Bible. This is day 6 of the fast that my hubby and I joined with our Church. We declare that 2019 will be the best year ever for a breakthrough in our lives and everyone who is reading these words at this moment. The fast is not a weight loss program. The number one purpose is to strengthen our personal relationship with God. And one tool to incorporate is reading the bible and finding a plan for you. Our Pastor asked if we could go through the Chronological Bible with him this year like we did last year.

My hubby and I went through the Chronological Bible plan on the Youversion app, but this year we are going to go through the Christian Standard Day by Day Chronological Bible with Daily Readings guided by Dr. George Guthrie.

December is such a lovely time of the year. It even snowed a couple of times this week in my Midwest neck of the woods.The temperature changes have been from highs of 66 to lows of 22 and it is still only fall. I keep hearing that it is only two weeks until Christmas from the media and I have to literally turn that volume out and enjoy because this season is not about being stressed out its about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Granted, Jesus was not born on December 25th, but that is the day we Christians celebrate Jesus’s birth. I have to remember that for me that Jesus is the reason for the season.
