Today was hot and humid in my Midwestern state, but I thank the Lord for being inside where it’s cool. Today in church, the executive pastor talked about prayer and gaining that deeper relationship with God. I will definitely be going back to that teaching because I need to go over my notes. One piece of advice that I received from my mother is that you never get a message unless you go over and over and over it until it clicks.

Is it feeling more like summer than spring where you live? For us, we went right from winter into summer with temps reaching into the upper 80s and low 90s. If you want to go deeper in your walk with Christ, I found the Enduring Word Study Bible as an ideal place to begin that journey. The introductions to each book provide you with a starting point for what to look for. The corresponding study notes for the verses give the necessary context for the story being told or the message being delivered. I have found some study notes in other Bibles to be overwhelming and challenging to understand. These study notes are clear, concise, and enhance your knowledge of the scriptures.
