The cast includes Daisy Betts, Joel Smallbone, Kirrilee Berger, Jonathan Jackson, and Lucas Black, with Candace Cameron Bure and Terry O’Quinn.

What a week! With the eclipse getting everyone excited, fearing dome and gloom, or wanting it to be over, however, there was no need to worry.
Watching the 2024 eclipse
When my hubby and I watched the eclipse, we thought it was a wonder to see and to look up at the skies. In 2017, we wrote a post about our eclipse experience HERE! On Monday, April 8, 2024, at about 12:43 pm (CST), the temperature started cooling from 80 to 74 degrees, and it was getting dark enough for the lights to turn on. Even the birds began acting differently, but our doggies didn’t. The pups were enjoying being outside. We watched the time-lapse of when it went from dark to back to the original bright sun. It was pretty cool.
Flashback to the 2017 Eclipse
The eclipse made me think about how our team recently previewed the new movie, THE HOPEFUL. In the film, a community of Christians is looking for Jesus to return on a particular date and year. However, we know that no one knows the day or the hour of His coming.
What does God’s word say?
Matthew 24:36 (ESV) says
“But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
We must guard our hearts when we lean on our interpretations of the Bible and look to God for direction —content on content, not our interpretation.
“THE HOPEFUL ” is the story of a community whose lives were transformed as they learned what it means to truly wait for Jesus. This sweeping drama, set in 19th-century New England, invites audiences of all ages to imagine how hope can change the world.” This movie educated my team because we didn’t know how the Seventh-day Adventist church was started. I am not a Seventh-Day Adventist, but the history is insightful. THE HOPEFUL recounts how the denomination formed and highlights the roadblocks and triumphs.
Do you know about the history of the Seventh-Day Adventist church?
All I knew was that the congregation went to church on Saturdays. My aunt became a Seventh-day Adventist before going to be with the Lord, but I didn’t know much about her path of choice.

The Bubblingwitheleganceandgrace team recently had the opportunity to preview the new movie Cabrini by award-winning director Alejandro Monteverde (Sound of Freedom). Cabrini is the powerful epic true story of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant who arrives in New York City in 1889 and fights for orphans’ equality, health, and happiness.
Cabrini shows a woman’s determination to make the world a better place for the less fortunate despite constant opposition from society. Cabrini never took no for an answer, and because of her grit and stamina, she always believed that all things are possible with God.
