Angel Studios has a new series that the whole family can watch together, and everyone will enjoy. A Week Away: The Series is a MUSICAL SERIES that follows a group of teens as they embark on a summer at Camp Aweegaway, a Christian camp filled with adventure, friendships, and unexpected self-discovery.

I must admit that I did not know what to expect, but the series effectively incorporates singing, dance, humor, and seriousness all at the same time. A Week Away: The Series centers around Max, a teenager who doesn’t feel he needs Jesus and views attending this camp as a form of sales pitch and a crutch. The song Amazing Grace was transformed into where was God when he needed him because he was there. Max begins to discover that he is not alone in his struggle between right and wrong. Teens are facing significant challenges today, and we must learn how to relate to them with the word of God. A Week Away: The Series achieves this in a way that resonates with the entire family.

The musical series had me doing my own choreography, which was both amusing and entertaining at the same time. Once I could determine the modern-day interpretations of the biblical characters, I was able to follow along with the storyline. In Episode 3, we see Mary Magdalene preaching and ministering to the prostitutes in the clubs. The characters wear modern-day clothes and react to modern-day situations. The biblical stories inspire the storyline but are not entirely within the context of the story. If you enjoy seeing good Christian drama, then this is the series for you. I don’t want to give the storyline away, so you must see the series. I have never seen the bible set in modern times like this before. Stream the whole season of TESTAMENT today on Angel Guild.
This series will challenge you, move you, and make you rethink what it means to follow Jesus truly. With the modern setting, you will be able to relate to these people and stories like never before.

I pray that you are doing well. It’s been a challenging week in our area. The Gateway City was hit by a major tornado on Friday. Although our home and neighborhood were not affected, a significant portion of our community has been devastated. My hubby and I were at work when the storm hit, and both of our buildings were in the path of the storm and took a direct hit. But, thankfully, we were not injured, with only minor damage to our vehicle. We will write more about it in the next few days as we have time to process everything.
We have seen God’s glory amidst these storms. We are thankful for His protection over us and our coworkers, despite the damage to the buildings and vehicles. God can reveal His glory in many ways, including what was showcased in the new documentary, SHOW ME YOUR GLORY.
