I pray everyone had a wonderful Christmas. For my hubby and I, we celebrate Christmas for more than one day. We make a season out of it. We will keep our tree and other decorations up until about Valentine’s Day. We enjoy Christmas that much!

December is such a lovely time of the year. It even snowed a couple of times this week in my Midwest neck of the woods.The temperature changes have been from highs of 66 to lows of 22 and it is still only fall. I keep hearing that it is only two weeks until Christmas from the media and I have to literally turn that volume out and enjoy because this season is not about being stressed out its about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Granted, Jesus was not born on December 25th, but that is the day we Christians celebrate Jesus’s birth. I have to remember that for me that Jesus is the reason for the season. And over the past two years my husband and I have started a tradition of celebrating Hanukkah. Each Christmas season, I look forward to spending time with my hubby. We usually take time off a few extra days from work between Christmas and New Years to extend the holiday for more than one day. The holidays are in full swing. Last week, my hubby and I celebrated Thanksgiving with a quiet relaxing day at home with our two puppies. We spent the rest of the weekend decorating Christmas tree and turning our house into a holiday oasis. We know the true meaning of Christmas and want to celebrate it as long as possible. You can never have too many decorations, in my opinion. In the midst of decorating, you may find that you need one or two more items to complete the decor. It just snowed in my neck of the woods and Thanksgiving is next week. Watching the snow fall makes me feel like decorating and putting my trees up so that my hubby and can enjoy the Christmas decorations even longer. One of my DIY projects on my list is creating a pine cone holiday wreath, the cones are from a pine tree I remember my father, mother and I planting in the front yard when I was a little kid.
