As we approach Thanksgiving, we need to be thankful for the many blessings in our life. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, we have to take a moment to realize that there are still good things happening in our lives and we must show gratitude for those things.
In times of sickness and disease that many people have endured, it may be difficult to think about your own good health. In times of great economic uncertainty, it may be difficult to think about your own good fortunes. The more we focus on the perilous things that are happening in the world today, the harder it will be to see how God has blessed our lives. If we cannot see what God has done for us, we need to reflect on His goodness that is found in His Word.
Reading and studying God’s word develops a closer relationship with Him. The more you read and reflect on the stories, the more real the Word becomes in your life. For some people, it may be difficult to relate to a story that had happened thousands of years ago. Without a visual aid or without the context of a real place, they cannot connect the Bible to their everyday life today. As a way to keep connected during the pandemic, our church has offered its members a variety of small groups. I am a part of two groups – the Inductive Bible study group and The Beatitudes study group. I hope your week is off to an amazing start. My hubby pulled out our autumn decorations in anticipation of the first day of fall on Tuesdays. Colored-leaves with lights, wreaths, styrofoam pumpkins and gourds, and dried pine cones will be placed throughout the house and the front yard. Now we need the temps to stay in the 60s and 70s and we will be all set.
If you have been following our blog for any time, you know that my hubby and I are firm believers in reading and studying the Word of God. In times like we are facing now, it is important to have that strong foundation in the Word and to be able to apply it to our everyday life. Reading is where it all starts, but the real change comes when you study it in greater detail. Many Bibles provide extra commentary or analysis of the Word, which will help understand the context of the verse or passage.
However, there are times when the commentary and analysis are not enough. You can read it and still not have a full understanding of what you should take away from it. There is only so much that can be contained within a few sentences or in a paragraph at the bottom of the page. There are some topics and themes that need a more in-depth study to truly understand them and to get the full revelation of it.
One such topic is the Rapture. The Rapture is often talked about but not fully understood by many Christians. The Rapture concerns the second coming of Jesus Christ back to Earth and is not fully explained in the Bible itself. To fully understand the context of this complex topic, it cannot be summed up within the confines of a regular study bible. You would need a full in-depth study if you want to be able to talk about it with your family or friends. In the new documentary, Before The Wrath, the Rapture is fully examined, studied, and explained by Bible scholars. Before seeing this documentary, my knowledge of the Rapture limited what was told by my pastor. But now by seeing how the Rapture is explained in relation to the ancient Canaan wedding, it is clearly understood by anyone who watches it.
Before The Wrath has been recently been released on DVD and Blu-Ray and as a digital download on iTunes and Amazon Prime. Since its release, it has been one of the top-ranked documentaries on Amazon and has been nominated for several awards. We recommend that all Christians take the time to watch it. We must educate ourselves on all topics of the Bible, especially ones that effects all of us.

The summer days getting hot and humid. I am glad that my hubby planted our flowers and vegetables in the spring. Watching the tomatoes turning red and the smelling the mint brings us joy. Well just like seeing a plant grow, it is great to grow in the word of God. Do you believe in the Rapture?
Jesus told His disciples that He was coming back to take His bridegroom with Him. Christians are divided on whether they believe Jesus is coming back for his Church. Jesus said that He didn’t know the day or the hour of His return. Only His Father in heaven knows. We do not know the day or the hour so and to choose a date or a year is ludicrous because it doesn’t line up with scripture.
I started studying about the Rapture when my mother went home with the Lord many years ago. God’s Word says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I wanted to know more about the second coming of Jesus. Before the Wrath, narrated by Kevin Sorbo, discusses The Rapture in great detail and uses the Biblical references to Jesus’ life on Earth to fully describe what the Rapture means and why it vitally important to know more about.
Before the Wrath gives amazing historical research findings on the Galilean wedding ceremony. It blew me away because I have read the story of the wedding ceremony many times, but I never had the revelations described this way. I think every Pastor, Christian, and non-christian should take the time to watch this documentary.

In the movie, I Still Believe, we follow the true-life story of Jeremy Camp as a college student who falls in love with Melissa Henning. Their relationship endures many ups and downs, but in the end Jeremy stood strong and could say, “I Still Believe” Here is a scene early in the movie that shows Jeremy and Melissa talking about going on a date.
Lionsgate released the movie in theaters on March 13th and was the number 2 new movie that weekend. But when COVID-19 forced the closure of theaters, the movie was moved to Digital Streaming, DVD, and Blu-Ray.
