December is such a lovely time of the year. It even snowed a couple of times this week in my Midwest neck of the woods.The temperature changes have been from highs of 66 to lows of 22 and it is still only fall. I keep hearing that it is only two weeks until Christmas from the media and I have to literally turn that volume out and enjoy because this season is not about being stressed out its about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Granted, Jesus was not born on December 25th, but that is the day we Christians celebrate Jesus’s birth. I have to remember that for me that Jesus is the reason for the season. And over the past two years my husband and I have started a tradition of celebrating Hanukkah. Check out this interesting article on Why Christians Should Celebrate Hanukkah, which was such an eyeopener for me.

Each Christmas season, I look forward to spending time with my hubby. We usually take time off a few extra days from work between Christmas and New Years to extend the holiday for more than one day. The holidays are in full swing. Last week, my hubby and I celebrated Thanksgiving with a quiet relaxing day at home with our two puppies.
