Celebrating Veteran’s Day 2023

Hello, Elegant Ones

November 11 is the date designated to recognize the United States Military veterans for their service to our country. For nearly 250 years, countless men and women have put on their uniforms to protect us and the freedoms that make our country great.

We attended today’s Veteran’s Day celebration at the Soldier’s Memorial Military Museum in Saint Louis, Missouri. Soldier’s Memorial Military Museum opened in 1938 to honor Saint Louis servicemembers who died in World War I. The memorial has since expanded to honor all Saint Louis men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. Visitors to the war memorials can also view exhibition galleries dedicated to Saint Louis’ role in military expeditions from the Revolutionary War to today.

Soldier’s Memorial Military Museum (SAINT LOUIS, MO)

Solider’s Memorial Military Museum served as the backdrop for the Veteran’s Day celebration in Downtown Saint Louis. The day began with a 5K race, with proceeds going to St. Patrick Center’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable housing, employment, and healthcare. Veterans make up 18% of St. Patrick Center’s clients. Following the 5K race, the annual parade went through the downtown streets. The parade featured veterans groups, high school ROTC units, classic cars, and others. The day concluded with a ceremony dedicated to veterans, including POWs and MIAs.

We created a short video that highlights the day’s activities.

Because of the courageous service of these men and women, I can live in freedom in this great country. Saying THANK YOU is the least that I can do. Sometimes, these words feel inadequate. However, I let my actions show a greater appreciation – flying the flag, standing for the national anthem, shaking their hand, showing empathy for their sacrifice, and listening to their stories will go further than my ‘thank you’!

Thank You Giveaway!

Hello Beautiful People,

I wanted to say thank you so much for being a part of our blog family of subscribers. Would you believe Bubblingwitheleganceandgrace.com started in 2009 and would not be what it is today without you taking the time to read our blog posts. In collaboration with KatherinesCorner.com, we appreciate and invite you to enter the “Thank You” giveaway for a chance to win $120.

We are officially in November family, and it can be cold and warm all on the same day. My hubby brought in my fall and winter clothes and shoes. That is a project for me because I have to sort through everything. I have a small space, so I must select what items should be in my wardrobe for the season and what should be stored away. Going through this process helps me because I may purge a few items to give away, which makes me feel good.

What are your fall projects?

Thank you giveaway with Katherine, JT and blogging friends

Train up a child in the way it should go.
What does that mean?

My Dad and Mother would make that statement to me. They would let me know that they were not my friends. They were my parents. The difference is that they love me, but they would correct me when I needed it.
