The new live-action series, TESTAMENT, is based on the book of Acts in the days following Jesus’ resurrection. The series is explosively reimagined in an alternate-modern era. The resurrection has sparked a movement that turns the world upside down, spreading hope amid chaos. As Jesus’ followers risk everything to preach the good news, the Temple races to silence them before the oppressive Imperium regime retaliates. Once I could determine the modern-day interpretations of the biblical characters, I was able to follow along with the storyline. In Episode 3, we see Mary Magdalene preaching and ministering to the prostitutes in the clubs. The characters wear modern-day clothes and react to modern-day situations. The biblical stories inspire the storyline but are not entirely within the context of the story. If you enjoy seeing good Christian drama, then this is the series for you. I don’t want to give the storyline away, so you must see the series. I have never seen the bible set in modern times like this before. Stream the whole season of TESTAMENT today on Angel Guild.

I haven’t heard of this series. I just added it to my list to watch. Thank you for the giveaway my friend. I do not have a preference about the type (style) of interpretations. Chosen is an amazing series, The Ten Commandments was an exceptional movie. But I also like the books by Tim LaHaye, and Kirk Cameron’s Christian films too. Hugs!!!
I like both but I’m going to say the modern interpretations. My kids enjoy them more and we watch as a family.
