Today, as the calendar turns to September rolling into fall, many people’s favorite season is coming into full swing. High school football teams are hitting the gridiron field with high hopes and great anticipation of a winning season. Football and fall go hand in hand in some parts of the country. And football at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, LA, is no exception.

Bubblingwitheleganceandgrace.com had the opportunity to preview the new Amazon Feevee docuseries, God.Family.Football., which follows Evangel Eagles as they prepare for and play the 2022 season.

Evangel Christian Academy is known as a football powerhouse, winning fourteen state championships in twenty years, including one national championship in 1999. After a disappointing 2020 season that saw the team finish without a win, the school called on their former coach to bring the team back to its winning ways. Coach Denny Duron comes out of a 30-year retirement to lead the team back to its winning ways. The players are dedicated to Duron but under extreme pressure because there is so much riding on the team doing their best. Getting into the right college, parents wanting them to play better, keeping up with their grades, and knowing the school’s winning legacy are always on their minds. Coach Duron stands on faith in God, focusing on the players by ensuring they put God first. I don’t want to give everything away, but I will say it can be funny, profound, moving, and inspiring simultaneously.

Everyone can do or can learn gardening, which can offer a way to get outdoors while learning a new skill and boosting your brain health.

Exercising/Dancing
The health benefits of exercising and dancing are vast. Our bodies need to move to keep them fit and healthy, but exercising has also been proven to improve brain health and boost IQ points; it is the third best hobby to boost IQ, according to the DIYS study in 2020. Those who exercise can benefit from a delayed aging process, increased physical health, lower rate of illnesses and injury, and all the mental health benefits and IQ-boosting properties.
