The flower design is very popular among today’s young women, as we stay with a natural theme by using combinations of small stones around a central diamond, and if this design appeals to you, here are a few tips to create the perfect engagement ring design.
Stand Out From The Crowd If you have a custom ring made with a flower design, the ring will be very noticeable, and with pink or yellow shades, the ring will be a talking point wherever you go. The custom jeweller would use state-of-the-art computer software that allows you to create a 3D design, which enables you to experience the ring before it is created. You can easily find images of stunning floral engagement ring designs through a Google search, which should help with your selection.
Coloured Stones Floral designs really do benefit from using coloured diamonds to surround the central stone, and when you consider that the petals of a flower are a different colour to the central part, choosing colours for the outer stones is a great way to portray that. For handmade bespoke engagement rings in Melbourne, if you search online, you will find an established custom jeweller who can help you create a unique ring design, and with their expertise, the engagement ring can become a family heirloom to be handed down to your children when the time is right.
The Halo Setting This is the perfect setting for a complex combination of small stones around a larger central diamond, and there are a number of ways you can create a floral effect. A complete circle of tiny stones can separate the central diamond from the petals, which can be created using the bezel cut.
Emerald Leaves In keeping with Mother Nature, why not have tiny emeralds handcrafted into a leaf shape? You could then include two leaf-shaped stones of a different colour, to best form the natural shape of a flower and stem. The tiny ring of stones that surround the central diamond can be of a different colour, which adds depth and a level of complexity, and with a wide band, the ring would look in proportion.
Petal-Shaped Stones A good custom jeweller can recreate just about any shape and if you wish to have petals in the ring design, this would not be an issue. Yellow or a light pink would be ideal, and the custom jeweller can create the design on a digital screen, in 3D format, which helps you to see how the ring will look.
Flower design engagement rings have very complex settings, although a good custom jeweller can make complex arrangements of small stones secure using a lattice style setting. Once the craftsman has an idea of what you want, they will be able to arrange the stones using a setting that best displays the diamonds and one that holds the stones securely.
Your diamond engagement ring is a symbol of your special relationship, and by having the ring made in the shape of a flower, you have a romantic touch that is a reflection of what you both share.
Hope you are having an awesome day!
Isn’t it all about a mindset? We can cater to our emotions and fears of what we are thinking about. Or we can rise above them and focus on more positive things. Often I think of my mother and the fact that she is no longer with us. Instead of focusing on the sadness that it could bring me, I think about the beautiful treasures of her effortless style. Whenever I get a chance to wear and talk about one of her pieces, I jumped at the chance.
My Mother’s Carpetbag
Patricia Nash Carpetbag sold on HSN
One of her treasures is the carpetbag shown in the photo above. Quite truthfully, I have no idea where she bought it or if someone gave it to her. She decorated the house with a few vintage items that she found at the GoodWill. It is possible that she bought the bag there, but it has no designer label or markings on it. Someone possibly could have made it for her from carpet remnants. Its origin remains a mystery. A couple of years back, HSN featured a carpetbag to coincide with the release of the latest Mary Poppins movie. Patricia Nash designed a bag inspired by the movie and it quickly sold out. Seeing if I could find anywhere still available, I was able to track it down on eBay for $650 plus shipping. Wow! The Patricia Nash bag, shown below is more structured, while my mother’s bag is a free-form style. From the shoulder strap to the body of the bag, it is completely made from carpet. My current carpetbag crush is MadeofCarpet on Etsy. These amazing bags are made in the United Kingdom, and the bags ship free to the US. MaxCarpetbagworks is based out of Los Angeles and the bags are reasonably priced.
According to Wikipedia, Carpetbags were made from oriental rugs or from Brussels carpet, with “a heavy pile formed by uncut loops of wool on a linen warp”. The carpet was the chosen material because the remaining pieces were easily bought for its manufacture.” My recent YoutTube video show more details of the bag and I talk about my mother’s memories of the carpetbag.
It’s awesome to have great feelings of sweet memories through a piece that belonged to my mother. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Do you have a favorite memory of a loved one through a vintage piece that you still use today? Let me know in the comments below.
The summer days getting hot and humid. I am glad that my hubby planted our flowers and vegetables in the spring. Watching the tomatoes turning red and the smelling the mint brings us joy. Well just like seeing a plant grow, it is great to grow in the word of God. Through our partnership with LEV3L Digital, my hubby and I had the opportunity to screen the new documentary, Before the Wrath.
The documentary examines the biblical context of the Rapture – the day when Jesus Christ returns to Earth. To learn more about it, watch the trailer here:
More About The Documentary “While scholars debate the timing of the Rapture, the world has lost why this event is prophesied to occur in the first place; knowledge that was once understood by those in the first century. Today, researchers in the Middle-East have rediscovered ancient anthropological evidence from the time of Christ that reveals exactly how and why the Rapture must occur; unveiling new biblical insight that will reignite hope for believers and prepare the world for what’s coming.”
Before the Wrath was released on March 3rd and has been the number one documentary on Amazon for three months. It is available for purchase on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download on Amazon and iTunes.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you, yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2
Do you believe in the Rapture?
Jesus told His disciples that He was coming back to take His bridegroom with Him. Christians are divided on whether they believe Jesus is coming back for his Church. Jesus said that He didn’t know the day or the hour of His return. Only His Father in heaven knows. We do not know the day or the hour so and to choose a date or a year is ludicrous because it doesn’t line up with scripture.
I started studying about the Rapture when my mother went home with the Lord many years ago. God’s Word says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I wanted to know more about the second coming of Jesus. Before the Wrath, narrated by Kevin Sorbo, discusses The Rapture in great detail and uses the Biblical references to Jesus’ life on Earth to fully describe what the Rapture means and why it vitally important to know more about.
Before the Wrath gives amazing historical research findings on the Galilean wedding ceremony. It blew me away because I have read the story of the wedding ceremony many times, but I never had the revelations described this way. I think every Pastor, Christian, and non-christian should take the time to watch this documentary.
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mark 13:32

How’s your mind doing these days? The world is full of so much noise that it can leave the strongest person weak. I found that I was looking at the news on my phone twice a day to see what was going on and that was too much for me. I looked over at my Joyce Meyer calendar and it says:
The Life-Changing Word
“You can begin to change things in your life if you will take the Word of God and start to speak it over your life.”
Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain. Be Lifted and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be dome for him. Mark 11:23 Amplified
Words change everything and it takes a fight to say something positive. However, it can be done. It takes just as long to same something positive than to say something negative.
Are Your Words Infertile?
Barren souls, Barren ground where growth is unseen and never sees rain. Words can be infertile because there’s no growth. Negative words produce a negative outcome so if you feel you’re slipping into this infertile ground it’s time for you to grab God’s hand to pull you out of the quicksand. I have felt this way and I think at one time or another we have all, but we can’t stay there. I don’t have it all together so I must say I am writing this for me as well.
Four-way to Fertile Words
1. Who are you hanging around and what are they saying. Do their words build you up or tear you down?
2. Get into the word of God. I can tell when I am not in the word as much as I should be. Things start getting to me that didn’t when I was in that deep relationship with God. Time to start diving in and to stay there.
3. Help others
4. Daily affirmations can be encouraging scriptures that relate to what you are going through and great quotes. No limit to speaking the word of God out loud.
Pep Talk by Terri Savelle Foy is a great book and she includes several examples of daily affirmations that you can say or start making up your own.
Here’s a video by Terri Savelle Foy about positive affirmations and how important building yourself up matters.
.
Make sure that today your words that you plant with your mouth are fertile; and that they produce good fruit.
Today is Guiseppe (Seppe) the beagle’s birthday, he turns two today!
Seppe
Seppe is spunky, feisty, and will talk back to you. Woof, woof, woof! He has a ton of energy and will nudge you or bite you to take him outside or to play with him or to feed him. It may be midnight and you think that he is tuckered out, but he is ready to play more and will not let you rest until he is done playing.
During this time of working from home, my hubby and I have gotten to know more of his personality, his mannerisms, and his gestures. Over the last year and especially since we have been home with him and Vinny, we have seen his personality develop more and found out what he really is like. He loves to play with us, with his rubber toys and sticks in the back yard. He will run full force, whether in the house or in the backyard until he is ready to go to bed. Non-stop energy! He has two speeds, full-speed ahead and asleep.
Every dog has a different attitude and Seppe is off the charts. Even at two years old, he is still in training. He can be very sweet and loving, but then be fussy with you the next minute because he wants to go outside to tinkle. We are continuing to work on the different training commands, especially the ‘come’ command. He is easily distracted because he is a beagle, but he’s learning and making some progress.
Seppe loves food and would eat all day and night if you let him. He’s a part of our family and he brings loads of energy and fun. His three words are fun, party hard, play hard.
a rare moment when Seppe is taking it easy!
Seppe has his own Instagram page, be sure to follow him for more beagle fun!
