Hope you are cozy and warm and life is treating you well.
I often get questions on how to incorporate color into a monochromatic palette. I always give advice that if color is scary, try to add it in small increments.
I was recently introduced to Modani. In looking over its website, the company offers modern and chic furniture that would allow my interior design juices to flow. I picked the brown sectional modern sofa featured below. I let my imagination run wild, incorporating bright pieces, also from Modani and a painting that hangs in my bedroom.
I started with a template and thought about my taste and desires for my dream living room.
Eclectic Chic! Images provided by Modani
The collage below gives a more visual look of how I would design the room.
When I saw the brown sectional modern sofa, I had to incorporate the colorful pillow and add contrast with the satin shiny pillow which makes it fun.
I included four ways to add your own charm to a room.
1. I really like the metal hardware of the the chandelier and functionality of the overhead lighting.
2. The rug adds softness and warmth to the room.
3. The pouf and extra chair adds additional seating that is a must for a living room. It also adds style. That pouf will be a major conversation starter because someone would think you bought that piece on your many travels.
4. The lamp adds additional lighting with an architectural flair and adds balance and depth.
All the pieces work together in harmony.
So the finished template I created below.

To take the room a step further I added a mirror, suitcases for decoration and storage, a vase, and a bookcase for my favorite books.
When I designed the living room, I immediately saw the painting in my bedroom; it works well with the color scheme of the living room. This is one of my favorite portraits in my home.
One of my Paintings
The key is to let the room reflect your style because everything will flow into place when that happens. I have to think outside the box and set my own standards. All it takes is one piece, whether it is a pillow or a sectional sofa and your dreams can cultivate from there to create a beautiful room.
Modani offers many chic and trendy furniture options for your house. One thing that I admire about this company is that is contributes to a charity for needy children. The work done by Lonely Peleg is an inspiration. This short video highlights his work throughout the world.
Scientific studies are being conducted on thousands of items of food that we consume every day. Some of these studies show how these once deemed unhealthy foods are not as detrimental to your health as initially thought. Below are just a few examples of what was once considered an unhealthy food item is now being hailed by science as healthy.
Eggs Eggs were once considered a dietary taboo and thought to clog arteries, which could lead to heart attacks or strokes. However, new research give individuals the green light to consume eggs on a daily basis, some are even calling eggs a superfood. One egg contains healthy amounts of unsaturated fats, high-quality protein and 13 essential minerals and vitamins for only 75 calories. Although the yolk contains 213 milligrams of dietary cholesterol, consuming one whole egg several times per week is acceptable as long as other foods high in cholesterol are limited.
Pork Pork has long been demonized as a fatty, unhealthy, poor choice of food. However, if you are familiar with the right cuts such as boneless loin chops, tenderloin and center cut bacon, pork is superior to chicken as a source of complete protein. On lean, well trimmed cuts, a pork tenderloin is just as lean as a skinless chicken breast. Pork cuts taken from the loin such as pork roast or pork chops are lower in fat and calories than a skinless chicken thigh. Aside from its low fat and calorie content, pork is also a good source of thiamin, niacin, riboflavin and vitamin B6.
Coffee You may have heard that drinking this caffeinated beverage is bad for your health, although new scientific research states differently. Of course, consuming too much caffeine can cause insomnia and jitteriness, but scientists have discovered that drinking coffee on a regular basis can help reduce your risk of developing diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, colon cancer and even headaches. One study in particular shows that individuals who drink 2 cups of coffee per day have a 20% fewer risk of developing colon cancer than individuals who drink none. Although more research is needed, many health experts believe that coffee’s health benefits outweigh its negatives.
Potatoes When the low-carb diet craze hit the public, potatoes were cast to the wayside. However, when prepared properly, potatoes are a versatile, nutritious and inexpensive food that should have a place in your diet. One medium skin-on potato contains only 160 calories and is high in fiber and potassium. Potatoes should be enjoyed on a constant basis when they are roasted, baked or mashed. When enjoying potatoes, be aware of adding fatty toppings such as shredded cheese, butter and sour cream, which can add hundreds of calories and unnecessary fat.
Dark Chocolate Chocolate lovers rejoice! Studies have shown that dark chocolate contains potent antioxidants known as flavonoids similar to those found in fruits, vegetables, red wine and tea. Consuming a small amount of pure dark chocolate on a daily basis can help improve the flow of blood through vessels and capillaries in older adults, and may help improve insulin sensitivity.
Remember that no matter how healthy a food, consuming everything in moderation is key to healthy results. All of the above foods provide you with important nutrients and vitamins, but you can have too much of a good thing. Following a sound nutrition plan that is well- balanced in proteins, carbohydrates and fats can help you achieve and maintain optimal health.

The colors of fall are vibrant and bold. Please don’t be shy and embrace the season.
I created three style boards and the clothing and accessories are from MODCLOTH.
The first style board is so fun because I love adding a sweater with a cute critter on the fun but sophisticated at the same time. The skirt takes the sweater from casual to dressy. This look can go for work, church or anywhere in between.
Into The Woods
The second style board has awesome burgundy, gold and brown tones. This look is feminine and edgy. Experiment with texture and step outside of the box, you will be amazed what you can create. The cardigan with the appliqué is one of my favorites and the boots gives the look an edge. It’s easy to coordinate like colors but it takes your own flair to add a different color.
Blushing Mum Girl
The third style board below is floral fabulousity in the skirt and is accentuated with the green hues of the cardigan and gold blouse. Be prepared for tons of compliments with this outfit. The infinity scarf adds depth and additional warmth if you are in a cold office space.
Autumn Leaves
Please notice the style boards include modcloth.com jewelry and accessories because each piece finishes the look perfectly.
I don’t know about you but if I go out of the house and forget my rings or necklace I feel naked like I am missing something.
I had a lot of fun styling the fall looks. Modcloth thank you for asking Bubblingwitheleganceandgrace.com to showcase fall, it was easy to do because your clothing and accessories are unique and beautiful.

Yigal Azrouël, Tess Giberson & Timo Weiland Runway Shows At Saint Louis Union Station
for Saint Louis Fashion Week
This Fashion Show at St. Louis Union Station featured a multitude of fashion lovers coming out to support designers showcasing their latest designs.
The models looked very young and the size range maybe a double-zero to four. Hopefully, in the future, we can see models who represent women who are a variety of sizes and shapes.
The designers showed a variety of designs that were edgy, yet fun and elegant at the same time.
This design of the dress below is fresh. I could wear itt to church, work, or out on the town with my hubby. This look is feminine and rocker at the same time.

This look can go from runway to everyday by adding a black tank or rayon/silk turtleneck underneath and adding a leather or corduroy jacket. Add tights and boots for a cool and fresh look.
The dress below is a very pretty look. It would be flattering on women of all shapes and sizes. A belt could be added to cinch in the waist and would give a completely different vibe to the outfit.
The designer and DJ made a splash with color blocking and bold prints, creating sharp looks. I can see putting a blouse underneath the crop top and adding a blue or khaki blazer.

The night was awesome and everyone came out to support fashion in Saint Louis. They announced that over 1,000 people attended the show. Wow! What great support from the Fashion Community.

I felt a little self-conscious because I did not know what to expect. This was my first runway show / fashion show. I decided to wear a pink, blue and white color-block dress. I choose red ballerina wedges because it coordinated with the dress and was an unexpected choice.
