Angel Studios has a new series that the whole family can watch together, and everyone will enjoy. A Week Away: The Series is a MUSICAL SERIES that follows a group of teens as they embark on a summer at Camp Aweegaway, a Christian camp filled with adventure, friendships, and unexpected self-discovery.

I must admit that I did not know what to expect, but the series effectively incorporates singing, dance, humor, and seriousness all at the same time. A Week Away: The Series centers around Max, a teenager who doesn’t feel he needs Jesus and views attending this camp as a form of sales pitch and a crutch. The song Amazing Grace was transformed into where was God when he needed him because he was there. Max begins to discover that he is not alone in his struggle between right and wrong. Teens are facing significant challenges today, and we must learn how to relate to them with the word of God. A Week Away: The Series achieves this in a way that resonates with the entire family.

The musical series had me doing my own choreography, which was both amusing and entertaining at the same time. While the target audience for A Week Away: The Series is teens and young adults, the whole family can learn from it. Redemption is a choice, and achieving it is up to each individual. The first two episodes of this series are currently available on Angel’s website. You can stream them with your membership to the Angel Guild.

My grandfather told me that our perception of God is much the same as a turtle looking at the sky as a helicopter circles before landing- the animal does not understand, but instinctively knows how powerful the flying object is. It is not up to us to understand God, only to know that God exists and is more complex than we can begin to imagine.

My Mother gave me a teen bible, so I would do that.
