Hello Beautiful People,

Today, my hubby and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary here at the Wilderness Lodge. What an eventful year it has been so far, but we are grateful to God. The Internet connection here is not the best, and that’s intentional. It is a time for us to disconnect from the outside world and be with each other. This year, we have taken several trips to California to check on a family member to ensure she is okay. It’s good to set aside this time just for us.

My hubby and I are reflecting on our anniversary.

We realize that there has to be a time of togetherness where all the sounds of the world are shut out and we focus on what really matters.

So, what really matters to us? Our relationship with God. Our relationship to each other.

Questions we ask each other:
Are we truly putting God first before the things of life, including work, people, and material possessions?  How can I do better in our relationship? Are we listening to each other and not talking over one another?

We can’t grow if we don’t know how the other person is feeling. And to do that, we need constant two-way communication—just between you and me.

Amidst the chaos of this world, and the passing of Charlie Kirk yesterday. We are in total shock and disillusionment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie’s wife, his two children, and his family.
Couldn’t do this today without offering our sincerest condolences and sympathies to the Kirk family.
