I wanted to add some spice to my simple white button down shirt, kick it up a notch.
So I started thinking in my head what pieces I could coordinate with my shirt and my jeans.
I decided to add an animal print tank and a tweed jacket. The animal print tank is a combination of silk, nylon and viscose so it is so soft.
My Susan Graver jacket from QVC.com has metallic, yellow, blue, and black yarns in it with piping trim so it popped the outfit and took it up a notch.
I have had this jacket for at least three years and it looks as good as new. The jacket came with black pants; but I like to coordinate my jackets with other pieces in my wardrobe.
The hair sticks are from Claire’s and I have had them for years. My necklace is one of my favorites, the necklace is was a gift and the heart pendant enhancer is from Nolan Miller.
One of my new favorites is my Ellen Tracey metallic woven jeans, so slimming and love seeing the glitter.
My Dooney and Bourke bag in cherry red was a Christmas present so I am really enjoying it.
My cowboy boots are from Madden Girl and they are so comfortable and cute at the same time.
As you can see layering pieces of clothing from your wardrobe can take a simple white button shirt to another level.
Next time you have on a crisp button down shirt on, please let me know how you style it.
Until next time have a blessed and awesome week.

Wow, this is a fabulous job of layering. I will be inspired by your work this week! Wonderful jacket, bag and boots too – and I love those hair sticks. Thanks so much for linking your fab self up with Visible Monday!
Thanks Patti!

Thank you Karen, I received that bag for Christmas from my hubby.
Your hair is so pretty! i’m really digging the hair sticks. May I ask where you got them? I ordered a few from eBay and I have a lot now but always looking for a new one 🙂
Thanks Michelle!
The chopsticks came from Claire’s some years ago. Their website is http://www.Claires.com. and they have a sale going on right now.
Love the final outfit. Especially the bag!
