Hope Everyone had a great holiday and Happy New Year!
Well to start ringing in the new year Annie from Gangster Pixie had a really great idea of a way to make you feel good about yourself. To appreciate that you are a special treasure.
She had an idea to create The Glam It Up Project which is a really good self confidence booster to start off the year right and with a confident attitude.
The participants choose what outfit they would like to glam it up in and showcase some attributes about themselves.
This outfit is my inspiration to “Glam It Up.”
Why did I picked this outfit?
I picked this outfit because I love the sequins for holiday and I think the hat and scarf accessories make the outfit different. And the kicking heels make the outfit look so finished and elegant.
What features do I like about me?
I really like my arms, legs and my hair. These are my features that I try to accentuate. I exercise hard and changed my eating habits in the last four to five years so it’s so sweet to see the payoff. I use to constantly complain about how I think my hips look to big but I am not going to do that anymore because God created one me and I have to be the best me I can be. I am realizing that beauty truly comes from within.
One important fact to remember:
Please do not compare yourself to other people because God only made one you. You are special and a treasure to behold. If you get caught up in comparing yourself it can be utter destruction because you will never be good enough so cut that out and start anew in 2011. Write down things that you really like about yourself. Everyone is special no matter what size, shape or color.

The Auspicious Life
Thank you I had a lot of fun styling this outfit. And you are right it’s very empowering to say good things about ourselves.
congrats on your blog move. be sure to update your networkedblogs at FB. as it is still set to blogspot. Did you switch over to wordpress or just upgrade your blogger to a .com? It seems so many people are switching ot wordpress. and I’m still firmly entrenched in blogger!
On a main note: you look sparkly and beautiful. love the dress, classic and easy to wear. I hope your 2011 is as sparkling as your dress and bright as your beautiful smile. Happy New Year!
Thanks Citizen Rosebud! And thanks for looking out for me. I updated the blogspot.com to .com, updated the url and feed and I deleted the other and I am back in business now. I switched from wordpress.com to wordpress self hosted on Tuesday and it was so worth it. I couldn’t add in any plugins in wordpress.com so it was free but very limited to what I could do.
When you feel ready to switch you will know, but I must say it’s nice being in control of my own blog. I am scheduling my posts for my blog so I will try to talk about my experience with the transfer to a self hosted site.
You are so sweet, I appreciate your compliment more than you know. Would you believe I got that dress for a good deal, it retail for $129 on HSN.com and I got it for $35.00. Lets say I was doing the happy dance.
You made my day and Happy New Year to you too!
Oh, I am sad I didn’t get this in my glam it up post! Sorry!!! 🙁 You should definitely leave a link in the comment bar!
So glad you participated! I love that dress!
I added this post link in the comment section on your page.
Thank you for the compliment, I love the dress to and I got that dress for such a great deal.
I never get the follow up comments. 🙁 I should figure that out exactly… 🙂
glad you did so! I was waiting for your submission but didn’t ever get it, so I figured that you were busy. I should have just asked. Again, sorry.
Annie, no need to be sorry, it’s okay. I didn’t know that you never received my emails because I sent two. The emails never came back so I don’t know where they went to. I will try resending them to see if you get them as a test to see if I am sending things to the right address.
Have a good day!
