Setting Sail…

Going on a cruise so I will not have internet access during this time.  I will be back the first week of April so I wanted to share a couple of pics before the weather changed to snow.

I want to thank all my lovely readers who are following my blog and thanking even the ones who don’t follow but stop by to read or see what’s happening.

Stay healthy and I really appreciate you all!

Above the Clouds

The drive up Pikes Peak was thrilling and beautiful at the same time. My J and I drove the winding road up to Pikes Peak which sometimes had little visibility so we had to take it very slow. Also the roads have few if any railings so I tried not to look down. At the top you see the clouds below you which was pretty amazing and the altitude is over 14,000 feet so we didn’t want to stay up there to long. The scenes of the mountains was beautiful as I had on my coat because the temperature was 32 degrees.
If you haven’t been to Pikes Peak please book your reservations to go because the beauty of seeing such a beautiful site is worth the visit.

Colorado, Ten Year Wedding Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated 10 years of marriage in Colorado last week so this is the first post since I’ve been back and it was beautiful. I couldn’t think of a better place to spend an anniversary, we drove down and it was wonderful. On our anniversary we went to the Miramont House and had “high tea” for lunch. I had never done that before. The lunch was a series of light meals. First we were served sconces with raspberry jam and Darjeeling Earl Grey tea, the second course was fruit in a goblet, light sandwiches and the last course was dessert and Mango Tango tea. It was lovely and I enjoyed myself. My hubby is even more handsome than when we first met.
Marriage is work and the work pays off when you first and foremost communicate with each other. Communication is so important.
I will be posting tidbits of pictures from our vacation every now and then. We did so much and had a lot of fun.
