Accelerated Intelligence recently asked me to review its Matcha DNA green tea. Hot Tea is one of my favorite ways to relax in the evening or to get a boost of energy in the morning with my breakfast. My Daddy would always make me a cup of tea after dinner. He is now with the Lord; but I will never forget him doing that for me.
JT enjoying Matcha Green Tea
Tea is one of my favorite delicacies. And now, my hubby carries on the tradition and makes me a cup of tea every night. I have grown to love of variety of different flavors, from peach to lavender, from orange spice to apple cinnamon.
However, in the past, when I drank green tea, it did not have much flavor and I was not very fond of it. When I was offered the Matcha DNA green tea, it sparked my curiosity because it had a tremendous amount of antioxidant nutritional value (1300 units per gram).
I made the Matcha DNA green tea by first heating up some water pouring it in the cup, After the cup is warmed, I discarded the water and emptied the packet of Matcha DNA green tea, poured the hot water in the cup, sweetened to taste with natural Stevia and stirred with a spoon. The color is green, the taste is smooth, herbal and not bitter. This is the best green tea that I have every had.
This is my Youtube review of Matcha DNA green tea.
On the packaging, it says that Matcha DNA green tea is organically grown and hand-picked and can be made as hot tea or used in foods and cooking. This video review shows how versatile the tea can be.
The tea is very relaxing with healthy benefits.”One glass of Matcha DNA may be the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of its nutritional value and antioxidant content.”
If you are looking for a great-tasting tea that provides you with awesome health benefits, I definitely recommend Matcha DNA Green tea. This tea has become a new staple in my daily tea tradition.
My hubby and I have really been focusing on eating healthy; and we really enjoy what we cook. We have incorporated fresh vegetables and fruit into our regime and we have so much more energy. It is springtime and even though there may be some warm days, it can be downright cold. We are looking at recipes for soups, low-carb casserole dishes, chili and chili con carne.
Comfort food is often associated with high calories and meals that will pack on the pounds; but that is just not entirely true. When I was a little girl, my mother would cook greens. I remember a combination of mustard, turnips and collard greens with ham shanks for seasoning and flavor. She would use a variety of other seasonings, like the ones from Schwartz, to top it off. My mother and I would also bake cornbread in a cast iron skillet to go with the greens. That was comfort food at its best. Some may not consider the greens healthy because of the ham shanks. The ham shank was and is used for seasoning, but we never ate it. Well maybe my daddy would eat a piece of the ham shank with his greens.
Comfort food can be full of flavor and still low in fat. It may take a little time to look for different dishes on nutritional guidelines; but in the end it will be worth it. One of the keys for my hubby and I is to eat tons of vegetables each day. The more vegetables on our plate the better, portion control is a key. Sometimes I have realized that I can have to much of a good thing. When eating those vegetables, meat or fish there’s no need to load up on butter and oils for flavor instead we add different seasonings and fresh herbs for flavor.
As my hubby and I prepared our Thanksgiving Dinner, we had two sous chefs to help us. Gio (the beagle) and Vinny (the collie) decided that they wanted to make sure that I carefully and accurately prepared the dressing. They kept a close eye on me while I prepared it.

Along with the dressing, we also had roasted duck, cooked cabbage and macaroni and cheese. When i was a little girl, I remember my grandmother roasting a duck during the holidays. However, I had never made one for myself. I searched for a recipe and found one that proved to be so easy and tasty. If you are looking something different for your next holiday meal or family gathering, I highly recommend a duck.
My hubby and I love Superbowl Snacks because we always try to cut the fat to make them healthy. I must confess I am not a hardcore football fan but my hubby and I love to cook. We may tune in for the half-time show.
My hubby makes a mean bagel pizza that is healthy and so good. Sometimes he will include Chicken sausage and sometimes it will be completely veggie. Both ways are delicious.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and that you are enjoying the weekend. I am so thankful to God for my husband in my life who is my best friend, and my doggies always make me smile. We prepared the food Wednesday night, but waited until Thursday to eat. While preparing the food, the doggies constantly walked around because of the aromas filled the house. Along with the traditional turkey, we had cooked cabbage, mac and cheese, a Smithfield ham and dressing. We finished it off with apple pie and vanilla ice cream.
We could not go out of town to see family because my hubby had to work today. We still are having a great holiday time. He has not had to work a Thanksgiving Friday in years; but this came up and that’s okay because we have to be thankful for our careers. Even though he worked Friday he’s off Saturday so we get the weekend. Hurrah!
I am not a person who gets up at midnight to catch the black Friday sales. I like relaxing, being at home and seeing what deals may be online. I have not ordered anything so doing pretty good so far. I want to be very sure that what I am buying is a good purchase and not an impulse buy.
So happy and can’t wait to get the jeans and style an outfit.

Outfit Review
The outfit that I am wearing in the picture is a suede and leather mauve burgundy jacket with studs by Louis del Olio that I adore wearing and it is very comfortable. The silk blouse is a Scholarshop thrift find.
Pants are from a former HSN.com designer, Terry Lewis. They are really one of my favorite pairs of pants. I purchased the Anne Klein shoes at DSW. They make me want to click my heels and say “there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home Aunty Em.” (You know the Wizard of Oz! Doesn’t the color look identical to Dorothy’s ruby red slippers?) My Italian Lire bracelet was a gift from my hubby, love it.
