It’s been a couple of weeks of so many things going on that I need to have some spa treatment. I’m on the verge of jumping on the Argireline bandwagon. It’s good; but full. When I am feeling like I need a burst of energy or a stress release, I find it therapeutic to use my Clarisonic Mia.
What is the Clarisonic Mia?
The Clarisonic Mia is the little sister to the full-size cleansing machine. The device is specifically designed for the face; while the full-size Clarisonic can be used on the face and body.
I wear a variety of make up. When I would only use a face cloth, my skin never felt like it was clean. I started doing my research and found the Clarisonic on QVC.com.
I use my Mia at least three times a week. I really like that I can take my Mia into shower. It can get totally wet without a problem. The Clarisonic Mia’s size compact enough that makes it ideal to take with you when traveling or vacationing. The Mia is cordless and can maintain a charge for about two weeks before needing to recharged.
JT using the Clarisonic Mia
I try to avoid break outs on my face; so I like get a deep-down clean that the Clarisonic Mia can provide.
My Regime I cleanse my face with my Josie Maran double-sided cleansing cloth, with a couple pumps of the Bare Escentuals cleanser. Then I use my Mia with Noxzema or Burt Bees cleanser and gently rub in circular motions over my face. The Mia has a 60-second timer and will automatically cuts off. The brushes eventually will need to be replaced and I have no problem with that. The Clarisonic Mia deeply cleanses my skin and helps me win over acne-prone skin.
For more information on the Mia, click on the QVC website. There is a detailed video with informative tips and why everyone should have a Clarisonic.
“How do I use it: First, remove eye makeup. Wet skin and brush head, and apply cleanser to the skin or directly to the brush head. Push the on/off button, select speed, and follow the one-minute T-timer prompts while moving brush in small, circular motions: 20 seconds on forehead, 20 seconds on nose/chin, and 10 seconds on each cheek. Hold the brush head flush to your skin. Pressing too hard will impede the motion of the brush and reduce effectiveness. Mia 2 will automatically shut off after one minute.”
The brush heads do not feel rough but feel soft and comfortable.
Try the Mia if you want your skin to feel smooth and you want to get a deep-down clean. When your face does not feel clean after you wash it, check out the the Mia.
Getting ready for church this morning and I realized my hair is still wet from my twist out. What is a girl to do? I washed my hair last night, detangled, conditioned and had six twists on each side of my head. Ready to be styled in the morning. Well, I had let my hair air-dry last night; but my hair is quite thick. This morning my hair was not dripping wet; but it was damp.
Again I say, What am I to do?
Thoughts in my head of wearing a cap, but it is way too warm for that today. Maybe I could wear it up and no one would never know that I didn’t get the soft lustrous curls that I wanted.
What did I do?
I untwisted my hair added some Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk and styled it to the best of my ability. As you can see in the photo below, this is naturally me.

I am not fond of hair shrinkage; but I said to myself, “This is who I am, so people can take it or leave it.” A few years back, I would of never had worn my hair in this style. It was always straightened either with a pressing comb or by a relaxer. Almost four years ago, I decided to go relaxer free. I had to learn how to style my hair and find out through trail and error what products work best for my texture.

Here I am, hair shrinkage and all. My hubby was constantly saying that he thought it was cute; but all I could think about was how short it looked.
But you know what, I went to church and got received several compliments.
My hubby said, “Is it better hearing it also from someone else?”
I said, “No.” But his comment made me think that I have to be fine with myself.
God’s word says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)
God made me and He gave me curly hair and I have to love me some me. If I do not love myself; how can I show love to anyone else.

I find that the times when I don’t think I look my best are the days that I get the most compliments. Here I am talking about the shrinkage in my hair and a lady today said to me that she would have to pay to get hair like mine, meaning she would have to buy a curly wig. Go figure?
But the tidbit of advice to remember: Compliments are great; but if there are no compliments, you have to feel that self love inside that you know that you are beautiful.

The kit packaging is gorgeous, but the brochure is missing a key factor to state how many times the applicator needs to be clicked before the lip gloss comes out. And the eyeliners do not retract back after they are are retracted out. If you buy this kit be warned of that. I do not want you to loose any product. I paid $49.00 on three easy payments because it was a Today’s Special Value. The kit was not available after the Today’s special but it is now on Qvc.com’s website for $61.00.
I really enjoy using Josie Maran’s products. I love that her line contains argan oil, natural and good for your skin. I bought the set that I am doing a vlog on from QVC.com as a Today’s Special. It’s a treat to buy beauty products from QVC.com because if for some reason you don’t like what you purchased you can return them in 30 days with your money back and no questions asked. In this vlog I go into detail about each product so please take a look.
Boy! a lot has been going on. This is a Christmas Tree heavy post so please be forewarned. Christmas time is here and I hope everyone is enjoying this time and not getting caught up in the holiday rush. My hubby and I decided to get a real tree for the second year in a row. Last year was we purchased our first real tree; but we didn’t have the appropriate stand. We had to nail rope to the wall to keep the tree steady in a plastic bucket. We were newbie live tree owners, so that was our first time and we didn’t know.
This season Hubby picked up a stellar tree from one a favorite nursery of ours here in town.
Hubby picking up the tree
It looked so nice and couldn’t wait to get the tree off of the JEEP.
Well, my hubby brought the tree into the house and put it up fairly easily. We bought the tree stand instead of using the five-gallon bucket from last year. It took maybe ten minutes to get into the stand and up; instead of the two-plus hours it took last year with the bucket and the rope. After we placed it in the stand, we moved onto the decorations and the other beautiful ornaments like trumpets, shoes, purses, cowboy hats, crosses, gold reindeer, etc. I have two other trees in the house that are smaller not live trees that will be featured in another post.
Love putting up ornaments (OPI nail polish)
The tree is a 6 1/2 foot Scottish pine and it looks so regal. I like to decorate with sparkly decor and other ornaments to make the tree different and unique. By the way polish on my nails is Keep Me On My Mistletoes and Spark-tacular! Top coat from OPI.
Back to the tree — The ornaments are mostly passed down from both of our parents and some that my hubby and I have collected over the years.
When I look at this tree I see memories and new traditions created. I don’t know about you; but I think about what it really means and Christmas does not have a price tag with it. Christmas is the birthday of Jesus! Both of my parents are with the Lord and it makes me think about love and happiness which money cannot buy.
Merry Christmas!
This has been such a busy week for me. I have not had an opportunity to post during the last week. Sorry guys. It’s been a busy week with work and church, I have not had much free time. Also, last month, I purchased a new 15 inch MacBookPro. I have been wanting one of my own for while since I have been using one at work for the past five years. I finally had an opportunity to get one for myself and I loved it. Apple has its own photo editing software, Aperture, and I have been playing around with the free trial that was offered. I have spent much of my time watching video tutorials and experimenting with its many features. It is a great software, however there is a learning curve. So far in the 12 days I have had been using Aperture, it is very professional and a level up from Picasa. I still use Picasa occasionally; but I want to see how I can edit my pictures in Aperture and it has proven to be really good. I am still a newbie; but what I see so far, it is awesome.

On to the review
I have wanted to try skin-care products from Michelle Howard, the creator of Blended Naturals for a while. I finally got the chance to place an order earlier in the month. I really love that she is an advocate for natural products that do not contain fake ingredients like methyparaben, propyyparaben, etc. She shares about the evil ingredients on her website. This information is so helpful, because many times we think that are favorite products are great. However, we need to look at the list of ingredients to see if they have any real health benefits.

Doesn’t the packaging look so pretty. My package arrived USPS mail in a timely manner.
The Tea Tree and Peppermint foot scrub smells so good. When I took my bath, I mixed the oil with Dead Sea Salts to create the foot scrub and massaged my feet.

My feet felt so soft that I really didn’t need to add any lotion afterwards.

I used the Organic Mud soap when taking my bath. It soothed and relaxed my body. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a spa-like moment while in the tub. I purchased the 100% Natural Organic Shea Peppermint Lip Butter. Wow! It was amazing. I need to buy the other five varieties. I am hooked on these lip butters. The peppermint tube will be in my purse from now on. I need to purchase more so I can have one on my nightstand, one at my desk at work, and a couple for backups. Tip: It’s really good to put some shea butter lip butters on your lips at night time because your lips will be so soft and moisturized in the morning.
I had a couple of other items from my purchase that was on back order. They arrived yesterday. I will post a review after I use them. I highly recommend Michelle Howard’s Line of Blended Naturals. Her customer service is wonderful and I really enjoy using her products. Take a look at her website because she has some great products to offer you.
