On My Wishlist…

B. Makowsky Leather slingback

These shoes are so pretty and so wearable with skirts or pants.  No they are not 6 inch heels but these shoes are to cute. Grommets give this slingback an edge.

The B. Makowsky shoe line is available at QVC.com.  The shoes above are a 2 3/4 inch heel so you can have some height and comfort.

This gem of a shoe is definitely on my spring 2011 wishlist.

Chanel Eyewear: Tres Chic!

I really needed some new glasses. I wear contacts and glasses so I split the time between wearing the two. I went to Lenscrafters and they have such a nice selection of glasses.

Looking for eyeglasses try these tips:
1. Are the glasses flattering to the contour of your face?
2. Are the frames heavy? If the eyeglasses are heavy you will not wear them long so need to venture long on a decision with this one.
3. The price and is it really worth it? Do you have insurance that will cover new frames and lenses?
4. Try on a variety of pairs of glasses and then narrow down your decision.

Drum roll please!
I chose the Chanel eyeglasses because I love the way they frame my face and the frame color matches my hair, go figure. One other great item that sold me on these glasses were the real pearls on each side of the frame.

The pearls epitomize the iconic glow of Chanel. I had to have them.

Ready Set Go! 2-Piece Organizer with Light by LoriGreiner on QVC

Ready Set Go 2-Piece Bag Organizer with Light by Lori Greiner

Ready Set Go Bag Organizer by Lori Greiner – QVC.com

I enjoy wearing all kinds of handbags but sometimes it’s hard to organized my keys, wallet, lip gloss, and other items in them because they all fall to the bottom of the bag.
What’s a girl to do?

Well I happen to see on QVC.com a purse organizer that can fit a small or large purse and a make up bag is in the middle of the organizer. I ordered it wondering if it would work or not and it actually pass the test.

No longer do I have to search for my keys or trying to find my phone, pen or lip gloss.  The organizer fits right in my purse and if I want to change purses the organizer has handles so I just pull it out and transfer it to my other purse. It’s that easy.

So if I have a big bag I can you use the large inset or both small and large inset with the makeup bag.  The organizer is so versatile and there’s a lot of options.

The Number One Beautiful Big Bag!

Photograph by JT

I got this bag as a early Christmas present from my mother-in-law and it’s beautiful. I love the sequins because they are small and not to gawdy so I can wear this handbag day into evening.

I love all shapes and sizes of bags, but I love a big bag.

One thing I make sure is that I have an organizer inside because if I don’t everything goes to the bottom and finding what I need at the right time is like a needle in a haystack.

I use to think that if I had a big handbag then I can carry a lot of stuff in it.

The number one reason why you shouldn’t carry a lot of stuff in your bag:
If your handbag is to heavy it could hurt your back and create bad posture. To many things in your handbag can weigh you down and be bad for your health so please lighten the load.

So when I lightened my load and started putting an organizer inside my handbag I felt revived and enlightened so I can hold my head high because I am not weighed down.

I will do a future post on different organizers you can choose from to lighten your load and get you organized for Christmas and in the New Year.

Coach goes after St. Louis County Flea Market

I wrote a Friend Friday post on Copying in the Fashion Industry in September fessing up that I bought two counterfeit handbags at a local flea market, a Louis Vuitton and a Coach. I actually was going to the Flea Market because I heard that they carried pure shea butter and look what else I wound up buying, a handbag.

My husband came across an article today entitled, “Coach sues St. Louis County flea market, claiming counterfeit item,” in the St. Louis Post Dispatch.  Coach Inc. filed a Federal Trademark Infringement lawsuit against Jack Frison, owner of Frison’s Flea Market alleging that vendors are selling counterfeit handbags.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch said that Coach was tipped off by a former Coach employee  who worked at the Frontenac Mall.  The article said that she called Coach after she went to the Flea Market for the first time.  Wonder what she was going there for?

When I bought the counterfeit handbags from Frison Flea Market last year, it was the first time I went into this smoke infested smelling place. When my hubby and I walked in we  paid $1.50 each before we could enter.  I remember written on the walls that nothing sold  in the market was illegal or counterfeit. Is this Mr. Frison for real?  Apparently so, in the St. Louis Post Dispatch he was quoted saying,

“The people they need to get are the people doing it, not me,” he said. “I don’t use Coach purses and I don’t wear Tommy Hilfiger.”

It is not the point that he doesn’t use the merchandise that’s being sold in his Flea Market. It is the fact that he is accepting the rental money from the vendors to sell the counterfeit handbags. In the article he states that the vendors are probably selling counterfeit merchandise.  He does own this Flea Market, right?

He is acting like an innocent bystander when he is a contributor to the problem.  According to the article he has owned this Flea Market for 28 years so he should be able to have whatever kind of vendor he would want.

It is a shame that Coach officials and investigators had to fly to Saint Louis on two separate occasions to purchase these counterfeit handbags to prove a point that it is just like stealing someone’s identity.

Mr. Frison in the article said, “All I can do is tell them it’s against the law. I can’t make them stop.”

He can make the vendors stop. That quote is a cop-out because he owns the Flea Market.  He takes the rent money for a table and a chair according to the article. He can make them stop and set in example that selling counterfeit handbags is stealing because they are not giving credit where credit is due.

This is such a huge problem and as much as we are tempted to buy that cheap bag because it has those logos on it and it makes us look like we are somebody.
DON’T DO IT!
