During my birthday month of May, my hubby bought me a beautiful Dooney and Bourke Vacheeta Leather Florentine Satchel in Natural and I am enjoying the pleasure of carrying it.
This bag works with so many different outfits.
I love taking it to work because I can fit every thing in it that I need for the day.

- JT on her way to work
Inside of the satchel, the green material is so soft and the chain you see inside is to hold your keys. Also, there is ample inside pockets for eyeglasses, lip glosses, or lotion. The sky is the limit.

- Inside the purse
The trim is a nice touch. It gives off equestrian-look to me and the saddle color tops it off. The stitching on the handles is so awesome because it gives the purse extra detail.

This outfit is one of my favorites because this is an actual maxi dress that I put a black top on over it and added a belt and wore it to work. The satchel gave it that chic edge.

Satchel with Maxi dress combo
I was feeling the sari skirt and the necklace, the silk is so comfortable in the spring and summer. The satchel is so versatile.

Sari skirt
I wore this outfit to church on Sunday because it was a hot day.The handkerchief blouse and capri pants felt so cool.

The Dooney and Bourke Vacheeta leather satchel not only goes with all my outfits. The picture below is my Evan Picone printed dress with light green blouse and my Vince Camuto booties. It is a total work horse for my wardrobe. I will do individual future posts on each outfit, I just wanted to show you how this purse is so cool. Win-win!

I won the Lia Sophia giveaway that Shasie was hosting on her blog “Live Life Style A City Girl’s Personal Blog on Fashion and Style.” I was elated and overjoyed, I couldn’t wait to receive the package. I received my package today and I had to style the jewelry with my outfit. The jewelry came packaged secure and in a pretty white pouch. Shasie is so classy she has her own blogbusiness cards and stationary (Go girl!). I advise everyone who has a blog to get business cards and I learned from Shasie that I should pick up some stationary too.

Lia Sophia package
When I took the jewelry out the package, I had an outfit that had the perfect colors to accentuate the jewelry.

Lia Sophia jewelry
The jewelry looks so pretty and it look so chic. The Cabana necklace is very well made and felt substantial, but not heavy.

The Sweet Spot Bracelet and the Swiss Dots Bracelet will go with so many different outfits. The Amedeo NYC cameo cuff is mine, the more bracelets the better.

The outfit with the Lia Sophia jewelry popped and the colors in my dress by Connected Apparel formed a happy marriage.

My Dooney and Bourke Vacheeta leather satchel is a gift for my birthday month (May is my birthday month celebration).
My burgundy shoes are from DSW and they are by Kelly and Katie. The flats are really comfortable and I love the patent and the buckle trim.

This is how the Connected Apparel looks without the cardigan.

Styling the Lia Sophia jewelry was a pleasure and I am thinking of so many ways I can style the necklace and bracelets with outer outfits I have.

From the catwalks of London, Paris and New York via urban trendsetters, here is a round up of spring/summer 2012’s hottest accessories.
Jewellery: ‘maximalism’
Say it loud and proud this summer. Gaudy, in-your-face jewellery is the look of the season. Gold is mixed with vibrant pinks, deep sea greens and sky blues. Mirror glass, metal and beading adorns everything from bracelets to earrings. The look is Bollywood meets Rio’s Mardi Gras. Bracelets vary from stretchy skinny beads and multi-coloured bangles to oversized cuffs and studded bracelets. New Look has a great range of bracelets this season and we particularly like the Multicoloured Tropical Beaded Cuff (pictured), which is a steal at just £6.99. Its part tribal, part vintage and part modern glamourpuss.

Earrings should be big and beautiful and over the top complete with feathers and diamante. Rings need to be big enough to cause some damage and necklaces are kitsch, long and childlike.
Hats: au naturel
Hats are being used to make real style statements of late. This season there’s everything from big floppy sunhats to punky fedoras and trilbies. A key look is raffia or straw, but throw in some Breton stripes for a little French Riviera chic.
Sunglasses: retro
Step back in time with this season’s sunglasses. From tortoiseshell wayfarer styles to oversized rose-tined round rims via cat-eyes and winged styles it’s all about retro looks this summer. Avoid dark colour lenses and opt for pinks and light browns. Natural coloured rims in wood or tortoiseshell effect look funky and fresh, but cool pastels reminiscent of Grease are ladylike and chic. Vanessa Hudgens is a real fan of retro sunglasses as you can see here.
Bags: go large
In keeping with the season’s penchant for making statements and going all out, it should come as no surprise that this summer’s bags are large and eye catching. In fact they are big enough to fit your shopping in. From large canvas shoppers to sporty bowling ball holdalls the season is all about scaling up. However, that’s not to say clutches are out in the cold. They have not been banished to the Arctic, on the contrary in fact they have been given a tropical twist with palm tree and Hawaiian flower prints. But whatever you do, make sure you buy a pink one.

I don’t know about you; but when I go to the store and I see a cool pair of glasses or sunglasses, I have to try them on and style and profile. Smartbuyglasses have a “Try It On” download application that allows me to virtually try on the glasses. You will need to have a webcam on your computer for the application to see your face. Once you download the application from the site, a window comes up and you have to position your face in the oval window. It will tell you if you are in the right spot. Once you are positioned right, you can try on eyeglasses to my hearts content and take pictures to see how you look in them afterwards.
The glasses attach to your face once you select your frames. The amazing thing is that you move your face from left to right and the glasses move with you. I can also make the frames larger or smaller to coincide with my face shape.
My hubby and I took a couple of sample pictures of some frames we like.

So realistic.

My hubby in some cool frames
Very cool.

I like the frames hubby had on too.

My hubby and I had a lot of fun trying on the sunglasses and shades from Smartbuyglasses. If you get a chance, check out the site, download the application and try on the really neat glasses and experience a very unique experience.

I wanted to add some spice to my simple white button down shirt, kick it up a notch.
So I started thinking in my head what pieces I could coordinate with my shirt and my jeans.

JT with her doggies
I decided to add an animal print tank and a tweed jacket. The animal print tank is a combination of silk, nylon and viscose so it is so soft.
My Susan Graver jacket from QVC.com has metallic, yellow, blue, and black yarns in it with piping trim so it popped the outfit and took it up a notch.

I have had this jacket for at least three years and it looks as good as new. The jacket came with black pants; but I like to coordinate my jackets with other pieces in my wardrobe.

Lapis Earrings by Jay King
The hair sticks are from Claire’s and I have had them for years. My necklace is one of my favorites, the necklace is was a gift and the heart pendant enhancer is from Nolan Miller.
One of my new favorites is my Ellen Tracey metallic woven jeans, so slimming and love seeing the glitter.

My Dooney and Bourke bag in cherry red was a Christmas present so I am really enjoying it.
My cowboy boots are from Madden Girl and they are so comfortable and cute at the same time.
As you can see layering pieces of clothing from your wardrobe can take a simple white button shirt to another level.
Next time you have on a crisp button down shirt on, please let me know how you style it.
Until next time have a blessed and awesome week.

This winter’s weather has been something else !
One day it is mild and in the 60s and the next day it is bitter cold and windy and 24.
Today, it has been cold. I had to dress accordingly; but I still like to look chic.
The cold weather makes me bring out my furs and hats that I enjoy wearing.

JT
This coat is from Terry Lewis and I especially love the fur accents on the collar and cuff. I love the color that reminds me of the honeysuckle pink pantone color of 2011 and I think the detailing adds extra pizzazz.

My hat is so cool! Dottie hand made this hat. Her prices are really reasonable. My handbag is a Dooney and Bourke Satchel that I have had for years and I love how it looks brand new. This bag is great for work. I found y comfortable detailed boots, by Matisse, about two years ago at DSW. I bought my gloves on sale at Macy’s a couple of years ago. Can you tell that I just don’t go out and rush and buy stuff. No need to buy stuff all the time if you find great deals on quality pieces.
