Hi Beautiful People,
JT on Mothers Day after Church
Yesterday was Mother’s Day and I have so may thoughts going through my head during this time. My Birthday is today and Mother’s Day was yesterday. My mother has been with the Lord going on 21 years this November. I remember everything so vividly as if it were yesterday. This time has been difficult for me in years past because I get all these thoughts about my mother and it gets me down. The thoughts tried to creep up on me this year; but that negativity has got to go now. I have to cast those imaginations down because feeling like this does nothing for me. My mother is with the Lord and she has no suffering or pain. She is an inspiration and I am so thankful for how she and my dad raised me.

Hi Elegant Readers,
Carlos Falchi Handbag
I enjoy collecting handbags of all kinds because we all have different occasions that sets the tone for a different design but believe it or not, a handbag says a lot about our personality. Besides the ability of carrying all our important belongings and complementing our style, a purse is also the mirror of our character. We spend time comparing different models and in the end we buy the one that suits our look best so obviously a handbag represents an important part of who we are. Do you want to know what your bag says about you? Continue reading.
Clutch Bag
This is one of the most discrete and classy purses around. Women who wear a clutch are very natural and refined. They are always following the latest trends, they like to be well dresses and have a very full social life. Elegance and simplicity are the key qualities of their look.
Shoulder Bag
Dooney and Bourke Croco Satchel
A shoulder bag is very practical, versatile and functional. It has that longer strap that makes it so easy to carry the purse on the shoulder, and to quickly get things out or in. This handbag is excellent for those who lead a very active life style and need a very spacious and comfortable bag that is able to accommodate all their essentials. It says about you that you are very determined, confident and active.

Duffle Bag
This was initially a sports bag because it is quite spacious and it can easily carry around one change of clothes and sports apparel. If you are the type of gal that needs to have everything with her when she goes out then this is probably the best option for you. It tells everyone that you are tenacious, full of energy and powerful.
Designer Bag
Women who prefer designer bags are very passionate about luxury, beauty and fashion. They want to always look good and to appear sophisticated and trendy. You always pay attention to the way others perceive you and you use your appearance to impress. This is why you love meeting new people and building new relationships. And let’s not forget that you are very generous with every detail that influences your personal style.

Replica Bag
Usually, replica bags are very poor imitations of designer bags. This says about you that you love creating a glamorous image for yourself even if this means not paying what it’s really worth, lying and deceiving people. You want to enjoy the pleasures of leaving a rich, classy and luxurious life and you won’t let anything get in your way. You are clearly ambitious; you are able to recognize beauty when you see it and you will definitely fight to achieve it. I long time ago I bought two replica designer handbags and a wallet from a flea market and I said never again because you are taking credit from the designer who originated the piece.

Bucket Bag
Those who wear a bucket bag are the type of women who have a more practical sense. They are continuously trying to balance their personal life with their profession, and will never accept a compromise. Clearly, these women are flexible, ambitious and communicative.

Backpack Bag
A woman with a backpack is ready for everything, even for taking on the world. This very practical bag allows you to carry all your important things without any setbacks. It is comfortable, functional and practical. It is the perfect option for a confident, bold and independent lady. My dream is to get a leather backpack with or without fringes.

Hi Elegant Readers,
What a wonderful holiday weekend celebrating Resurrection Sunday (Easter). Jesus is Risen from the grave and lives!
The last day of Passover is tomorrow. It is such a good time to reflect on the celebration of the Israelites escape from slavery in Egypt.
My hubby and I attended an awesome service and enjoyed the day. My sweet doggie Vinny loves being in the pictures while my other doggie Gio is sniffing for every scent around the backyard.
I enjoy blogging about style and on Resurrection Sunday I went Dressy Chic. I wore a lace dress with a tailored blue jean jacket. The day was cool, so I wore textured black tights and gray open toe heels.
JT, Hubby and Vinny on Resurrection Sunday
I popped a pink scarf because it was a little chilly and added my Gucci sunglasses. My Coach handbag was from a Caribbean cruise I went on in 2011, yes 2011. I be sure to take care of my handbags and accessories so they last a long time. You will not see me buying things just to write a post on my blog. You are not going to get that kind of writing from me.
JT on Resurrection Sunday
My jewelry is pretty classic chic. I wore an Italian lire coin watch. It has become a favorite of mine. It is a watch and bangle in one. This is one of my alternative wedding ring and bands. I am happy that my hubby was able to get it fixed because I was missing a stone. It is such a good thing to find a great jeweler who can repair your pieces and give you fair prices.
JT’s bejeweled accessories
Enjoy your weekend and remember that beauty comes from the inside out. I have to remember that there is no need to compare. I am not in a competition to prove who is better, cuter, taller, or thinner. The most important thing is my relationship with my Heavenly Father and then everything else comes after that.

Bubbling Readers,
It’s unseasonably warm in the Lou. The sun is pretty but 83 degrees now. I still weary layers because it is not spring or summer yet.
My hubby and I recently went to a private sale and I purchased a couple of things at some awesome prices. I wanted to show one of my finds which is these awesome mod pants. I was a little apprehensive because I feel that I carry my weight in my hips and I thought that the pants would make my bottom-half look overwhelming. I have to cut myself some slack. My husband tells me that I look great and I have to continue to actually believe it. Long story short, I bought the pants that retailed in the $60 range for only $10. Jump up and down!! The fabric is polyester and I plan to wear these pants year round. It is still winter, so I wore tights with them in the picture below. As I transition into spring, I would wear trouser socks; while in the summer break out the sandals.
The fabric is so cool and it brings a smile on my face.
Mod Fabric
The lesson I learned is that this print doesn’t add bulk or width. It is completely balanced and an eye catcher. I kept it classic on top with a yellow tank and lace cardigan.
MOD COLLAGE
If you have been a little shy about printed pants, please take a chance and try on a pair and see what you think.

Hey Elegant Readers,
I have been getting back to crocheting and I decided to make my hubby a new artsy free-form scarf. I had been dealing with a stomach virus last weekend and part of this week. But thankfully, Praise God I am feeling good. My hubby and I made some homemade chicken broth and let my tummy heal with the BRAT method (broth, rice, apple sauce and toast).
Even though I was not feeling 100 percent last weekend, I had to get outside because the snow was falling and it was pretty. This week the snow turned to ice and is now melting. That’s okay because I enjoy all the seasons that God created, especially fall and winter. I know that I am that 1 percent of people who enjoy snow.
To make the scarf, I used the TLC yarn in Fusion. I bought the yarn a while back, but the Fusion color is quite rich and has sheen to it. The scarf is in the shape of a rectangular triangle. I used my imagination to create an unique scarf. I did not count stitches, it was purely freestyle. My mother taught me how to crochet. I will never forget the orange handbag she crochet for my Barbie doll.
My hubby didn’t know I could crochet and was really keeping up with my progress.
I finished the scarf yesterday after spending about two weeks to finish it. Even though I wasn’t feeling well during most of the that time, I tried to spend a little time each day. My hubby really liked it that he modeled the creation for me. I am pretty critically and at first wanted it to be the same length but I didn’t count stitches and hubby kept telling me that he liked the scarf just the way it was so I kept it that way. I even stitched a hole for one end of the scarf to go through but decided to close it up because I decided to go a different creative route.
The scarf really looks good on him and I think this color reminds me of the marsala the pantone color of the year. I used the entire skein and this project gave me some ideas on what I would like to do next. I have some more yarn that I may make another scarf but this time I would count the stitches if I want it more uniform.
Hubby modeling the scarf
This was a great project because I haven’t crocheted in years. It made me feel good that my hubby really took the time to take an interest and wanted to wear one of my creations. Are you a crocheter? Are you a knitter? Let me know what yarn projects have been working on lately;
