Hello my Elegant Readers,
I pray everyone is doing well.
I am continuing with Part 2 of my “Beat the Heat Dress Series.” It’s hot almost everywhere so it’s important to keep cool; but still look good at the same time. When it is hot, I do everything that I need to get done in the early mornings because I don’t want to be out in the heat and humidity later in the day. I eat light and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
I wore this outfit to work. The silk dress is by Isaac Mizrahi for this QVC line. I believe the silk blouse is from Chadwicks.
Silk is so cool and breathable and it is a must-have for the summer. Silk is one of my favorite go-to fabrics because it will not cling to your body when the temperature starts to rise.
This dress is perfect for every occasion. Today I wore it to work. I could also wear to church, or going out for the evening.
The print on this dress reminds me of Monet.
The next time that polyester dress you have been wearing is clinging to your body and cannot breathe in it; consider silk as an alternative option to beat that summer heat.
truly words of wisdom, i am up and at it early, this a.m. getting things done. although here in the pacific northwest, we are not getting hit as hard as the rest of the country, i know it will happen, most likely sooner than late. the outfit is gorgeous!!! the colors are so pretty and work so well together. very nice . have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Caroline. Hope you had a great weekend too!
You had me at the handbag. I love how simple and cool this dress looks and wearing it with flats is perfect. I would be dying in heels. Did the jacket come with the dress?
No, the silk blouse (which I wore like a jacket) came from Chadwicks and it was a perfect coordinate with the dress.
