Hi Everyone,
It’s Friend Friday and bloggers are asked by Katy at www.Modlychic.com to talk about some of the beauty products they love. So here are a few of my favorites.
Have an awesome weekend and a safe Memorial Day Holiday!
1. What are the three products you couldn’t live without?
a.Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation: This foundation makes my skin look so smooth, soft and natural.
b.Bare Escentuals Mineral Viel: This is the finishing product to my daily routine. This product is great if you look shiny and want a finishing polished touch and it’s not cakey so you can use Mineral Viel whenever you feel like.
c. Smashbox Lip gloss: I love the names of the glosses, (Infinite, Forever) and they always feel good on my lips and never dry.
2. Which products do you never leave home without?
Bare Escentuals (BE) buxom lip gloss and Bare Escentuals 100% Natural lipstick
Bare Escentuals (BE) Mineral Viel
3. When purchasing what is your one big beauty weakness?
Fragrance: I love beautiful smelling fragrance. I have found this great website, www.scentiments.com that offers fragrance for less and I have found some great deals.
4. Do you have a secret remedy, concoction, family tradition that you use?
I wouldn’t call it a secret but I enjoy making my own Shea butter mixture by including certain oils and fragrance. I use the Shea butter mixture on my hair and body, so natural. I love trying new hair care products and making my own.
My mother used aloe vera on my skin or if I had a cut on my knee for soothing comfort and today I use aloe vera gel as a moisturizer for my hair.
5. When it comes to your face, what area do you usually try to accentuate?
I love accentuating my eyes and my lips. If you can’t tell by now I really like the Bare Escentuals mineral makeup and they have some beautiful glimmer shades that make the eyes pop. Also, I have Elf mineral makeup and their makeup is really good to and you don’t have to pay as much. But what I go to on a regular basis is Bare Escentuals.
I have a lot of favorites but here a few products that make me feel fabulous. I have to say that I love Ojon restorative reconstructor because it has made my hair so much more healthy and shiny.

Bold Bracelets are so in this year. Wear them proudly on your wrists or on your upper arm for that chic look. When it comes to jewelry this year more is better so layer on a few pieces. I recently purchase this circular bangle bracelet and it’s so comfortable and stylish.

It’s Friend Friday Everyone!
Fellow blogger Katy asked fellow bloggers to share 10 random facts or trivia pieces about ourselves. Well here are a few tidbits about me.
Check out Kate’s blog Modlychic.blogspot.com.
1. I really want to play the piano at the advanced level, right now I am intermediate and play for relaxation. I really love to sing, when I am in my house I will belt out tunes while I am sweeping or doing chores.
2. My first dog was a rough collie and his name was Mucho. I am an only child and I must admit he was a sweet fellow who loved to play.
3. I love to garden. I love seeing beautiful colors so I plant flowers with my husband in our front and back yard.
4. Love to have fun and play games. I love playing Majhong, bejeweled, Farmville, playing with sticks with my doggies, and wii games.
5. Hike and love to travel and spend time with my husband and doggies. My husband and I went to Santa Fe, New Mexico ( the picture above) and hiked up to 9,000 feet. It was warm on the low level of land and increasingly got colder as we hiked up the trail. Very exhilarating.
6. I am active in my church and help produce different programs. I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and I go to a non-denominational church and our theme is Grow 2 Go. Grow to Go means that once you have a relationship with Christ you want to go and tell other people about the goodness of my Lord and Savior. I belong to a Think tank group at church that produces programs to get the focus of the theme out there. We have music, skits, dance and food on that day. We had a little over 900 people at our last G2G day in January of this year. Our group also work with the marketing aspect of getting the congregation hooked on G2G. A lot of fun. Our next G2G day is July 11, 2010.
7. Hate seeing men or women wear pajama bottoms in public, totally a no no in my book. To me it looks like you don’t know the difference between clothes you are suppose to sleep in and clothes you are suppose to wear outside.
8. Exercise four to five times a week/love to dance. I love to Latin dance and Belly dance. Also enjoy Kettlenetics, Bollywood workouts and my Shape Ups. Mixing up activity keeps me working different areas of my body.
9. Hate seeing people wear short tops with leggings. Covering the tush elongates your body and makes you look taller.
10. I enjoying sewing. I use to sew a lot more than I do now but I love making my own headbands. I dream of having my own accessories line one day. I would specialize in handbags, belts, and hair accessories.
I could go on but I will stop here for now.

I’m a little late for Fashion Friday, however I still wanted to post the questions to my blog:
What’s your main purpose in blogging? To show my creativity and write about what I love to do.
2. Do you think bloggers should receive monetary compensation for their efforts? I don’t have a problem with bloggers receiving monetary compensation if it doesn’t compromise the integrity of the blog or change the content of the blog. I think it takes away the attractiveness of what drew the reader to the blog. A blog should be created because a person loves to write about something they are passionate about and if a company happens to see the blog and would like to compensate the blogger to professionally write for them it should not change them.
3. What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging? Attracting more people to come to my blog and finding the time to post videos and product reviews. At this point if I only have a couple of followers right now that’s okay because I am doing something that I really enjoy so that’s all that matters and in the long run is what counts.
4. What’s the most rewarding part? I don’t have a lot of followers because I am still fairly new at blogging so the most rewarding to me is putting up product reviews, uploading pics of my favorite outfits or offering fashion and hair tips.
5. What is one goal you have for improving your blog? To do more posting and get on a schedule to upload more videos and pics and product reviews that I love to do.
