Great Dress Find
This dress was a great find on sale at Macy’s. It’s cool and comfortable and very tropical looking. I love the bead work around the edges of the yoke.

Friend Friday post on Blogger privacy is a great topic to write about this week. Friend Friday questions regarding blogger privacy makes you think about how much information you want to share. If you like to join us please stop by Katy Rose’s www.modlychic.blogspot.com blog and come along for the ride. How private are you when it comes to your blog?
1. Do you think privacy is something we should worry about as bloggers?
No, I think that we should know what information we feel comfortable with sharing to the masses and what things we do not feel comfortable sharing with everyone. If I know up front what’s off limits then it will not be on my blog.
2. Do you use your real name or a pen name? What was behind that decision?I use a screen name at this point and I feel comfortable with that right now. The first two letters are the initials of my husband and my first names and wisdom is something that I pray to believe and have more of each and everyday.
3. How much personal information do you reveal about your life beyond the blog? I keep my blog positive. I don’t reveal real personal information or names of friends and relatives unless I am including some cool old photos and I only reveal a first name and that may or may not be the real name because everyone doesn’t want their names out there and I have to respect that so I don’t do it. I have become comfortable with blog and keeping it positive. I have to have some personality to my blog or else it will have know depth to it. I like to discuss putting God first, fashion, beauty, style, hair care, favorite recipes, music as well as other likes so that’s what I focus on.
4. What will you never reveal?
I don’t share my marriage information but I will post if it’s my husband’s birthday or our anniversary, my work details or family information because I don’t feel comfortable with sharing that information because you don’t know who is reading your posts. I will never Geotrack with twitter of anything like that at all. I will not reveal my address, or my telephone number. I have a couple of people at work that know about my blog but they do not have an interest and a lot of my relatives don’t even own a computer.
5. As bloggers, we have to an extent made ourselves ‘public’ figures. But still there are things that are intimate to each of us that does not need to be known by anyone that stumbles across our blog. How do you determine what is appropriate for public consumption and what is private to you?My personal life is private and not for my blog. I want to make sure that what I put on my post I feel comfortable with anyone reading it. I must admit I do share some tidbits that are positive and uplifting but for the most part I keep my private life very private.

My Aunt went to be with the Lord this past Saturday and I was able to get some pictures that I had not seen before. In the picture is My Aunt C on the left, my Grandmother in the middle and my mother, G on the right. I miss them dearly but I know they are in my heart so they are always with me.
Each lady in their own individual way made sure they looked chic and I see that the style is in the genes. My grandmother raised five children and she worked hard for her money and she looked so good. My mother took the time to make sure she was well put together and that I also looked a certain way. My Aunt C always wanted to look her best and be the best. This picture is beautiful to me.
This weeks Friend Friday post is on “Jealousy” which is a very interesting topic this week. If you want to be a part of Friend Friday please check out www.modlychic.com.
Enjoy your weekend!
1. How do you define jealousy? Wanting what someone else has because you think that they are better than you or have more than you do.
2. When do you find you experience a bit of blogger jealousy? It takes a while before you get a following of people reading your blog on a regular basis so it’s inspiring when I see fellow bloggers with thousands of fans. I am not new but I haven’t been blogging long and often I wonder am I missing something or should I be doing something better to reach more people.
3. What types of blogs or which bloggers are you a little jealous of.
Bloggers who are able to post everyday and sometimes 3 and four times a day. I work a full time job and I really have to schedule my time to blog. I really love blogging but I have to make an effort to schedule my time. If I could blog to make a good income from it that would be wonderful, I know every blogger would like that bonus. With my blog I want to make sure I am real and honest to the readers so I am blogging because I enjoy doing it.
4. From the time we’re little we are taught that jealousy is a bad thing, but it can also inspire us to be better. Have you changed the way you do things, the content of your blog, etc… as a result of what someone else is doing? I haven’t changed who I am because I have seen a blog or blogs. I really like to read different blogs because I see new ideas or different ways of doing things. I have to remain who I am and feel good about that. As I said I have gotten good ideas on how to make my blog better but it wasn’t merely because of jealousy.
5. What is the best way to overcome jealousy in the blogosphere and in life? I know this is easier said than done and this may sound like violins are playing in the background.
Be happy for people and realize that if someone can do something awesome and inspiring don’t get down on yourself because you can do something inspiring also. We can’t be haters we need to strive to be joyful when we see people around us achieve their goals and dreams. I have to check myself if I start to feel jealousy because there is no need to envy because God is know respecter of persons. We all are winners.
