Hello, Elegant Lovelies,
It’s spring and do you try to find ways to brighten up a room with the fresh flowers from the garden look. Well, my mother would buy faux, or as she called them forever flowers, that look real and her design detail rubbed off on me. I remember having forever trees and flowers throughout the house that as a child. We would decorate with white lights in the living room and it gave the room flair and style.
My hubby and I recently bought this Peonies and Wisteria floral arrangement from a company named Peony that is out of England. The arrangement included greenery and the glass vase. It looks like I went out to my garden and I cut fresh peonies and brought them in. I actually grow fresh peonies in my front yard. The minute I would cut a stem off I would have to be extra careful or the petals would fall off and then I also would have to watch out for the ants. I still will bring fresh flowers in even though I have these forever flowers. No one can tell the difference whether they are fresh out of the garden or forever flowers. It is a great design accent that you should try in your own home.
This forever flower arrangement that we also purchase from Peony below is in my bedroom. It came with the blue and cream porcelain distressed vase.
The pinks and burgundy of the flowers with the distressed vase give such a vintage charm that works well with the toile quilt that’s on the bed.
Here are a few suggestions to consider and ask yourself when considering a forever floral arrangement in your home.
-Look at fresh flowers and take notes on what you would like in your home.
– Are there certain flowers that you like, but they are not native to your area?
-Do the faux or forever flowers look like you picked them from the garden?
-How much do you want to spend because forever florals can be all price ranges?
Although I enjoy my flowers from the garden in my home, the forever flowers will not wilt or turn brown. The beautiful thing about designing with forever flowers is that you can always change them out, move them to a different room or put them right next to real flowers if you choose. The bonus is there are so many options that the sky is the limit for design options in your mind.
