I know that almost everyone wants the snow to melt but seeing this lineup of Fashion picks from Tracy Reese 2011 Runway fall fashion show at the New York Times Fashion website makes me want the snow to start falling right now.
Tracy Reese is an American Fashion Designer who graduated from the Parsons School of Design in 1984 and was inducted into the CFDA as one of its Board Member in 2007. For her fall 2011 runway show she has a flare in her designs that’s appealing to any woman from slim fitting to free flowing she brings it on. One thing about Ms. Reese is that she keeps femininity first in her designs.
Honeysuckle pink is everywhere from fashion to furniture and she nailed it with this slim fitting dress. I really like the dark fuchsia with the light pink petal abstract print on the dress. The versatility in this dress is so easy to see; from work to dancing this dress just works for all body shapes.

Love this look. It’s softness of the Dotted Swiss and satin fabrics meeting the edginess of the fur jacket. I would rock this outfit with a pair of dark gray boots or for a pop of color a dark teal or rust would be so rocker chic. The fur jacket has substance but not bulk so that’s right up my alley because I do not need any bulk. The clutch offers such a great contrast to the outfit that it kicks it up a notch. Another home run.

When I saw this dress I was singing singing Caribbean Queen by Billy Ocean. The color looks like a clear blue sea. I cannot rave enough how much I love the flow and color of this dress. Simply Beautiful! Gotta have it.

I wanted to show one more picture that’s sheer eye candy. I constantly hear that animal print is so hot. Well to me animal print has always been hot. Ms. Reese made this outfit edgy but soft at the same time. I would rock this to an evening event and I would also wear this outfit to church. So versatile and I feel that any woman would stand out with confidence in a crowd with this ensemble.

I love color whether it’s in my clothes or in my shoes. Color can brighten your day and make you look refreshed and ready to face the day even if you don’t feel like it.
1. What color dominates your closet?
I have a variety of colors in my closet so no one color is overly massive. I have a variety of honeysuckle pink, red, green, brown. I love all color. I love color in my handbags. It pops a neutral outfit. For my complexion I love jewel tones.

2. If money weren’t an issue how would you change the color emphasis in your closet?
I would love to have shoes in all colors of the rainbow and in all variations of heel height. I would have a walk in closet that would showcase each one of them. Money is not an issue with color, I would buy more of the color I have right now. I would have to draft drawings for the walk-in closet. He He!
3. What is your mantra about mixing colors?
If I am going with a bright color usually I will create balance and have a darker color if it’s a separate. If the entire outfit is a bright color I will downplay the color of the shoes.
4. For you, how do you incorporate color into your outfits?
I love incorporating color in my jackets, blouses, skirts, and accessories. Wherever I can add color is great to me. But I try to make sure I incorporate it where it’s most flattering to my outfit.

5. Which blogger(s) do you think do a good job of incorporating color
into their wardrobe?
Bella of Citizen Rosebud and Sacramento of Mis Papelicos have a style that is really cool and they do an awesome job with color and patterns.
